With “Innovation, enhancement, harmony and further development” being its subject, this year’s IFFAIR pays much attention to its scale as well as its quality and industrial influence. The guideline of IFFAIR focuses on internationalization, profession, marketing, and informative. IFFAIR has desired to go all out to develop four important platforms, namely a significant platform for exhibitors to expand the market, accelerate adjustment and achieve further development, an important platform for us to implement and promote the revitalization planning of the textile and garment industry, a platform where regional cooperation on textile and garment are to be promoted and an important platform for the international brands’ display. The ultimate aim of IFFAIR is to further enhance the competitiveness of the garment industry in China by way of exhibition display, trade negotiations, trends releases, and professional activities etc.
Integration of the Industrial Chain
The 13th IFFAIR covers an area of 45,000 square meters with 2,200 booths available for exhibitors ranging from those specialized in brand garment production, OEM processing, garment accessories, fabrics and garment machinery production, and international brand franchising. By way of displaying machinery, fabrics, kids’ wear, accessories and designing, it helps integrate the whole industrial chain, which will enable visitors to make a one-stop travel only and find their suitable goods.
Referring to the latest statistics, 386 companies from more than 20 provinces and cities in Mainland China like Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hubei, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia etc., from Hong Kong, Taiwan and from foreign countries such as the U.S.A., France, Italy, England, South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia, etc. are all coming to exhibit on the fair, witnessing a growth of 11.8% higher than that of the last year’s fair. 74.87% are national brands while 25.13% are international brands.
Local brands of long histories and those new rising stars, such as YOUNGOR, SHANSHAN, ROMON, AIYIMEI, AIERNI, RONGCHANG XIANG, and Beijing Snow-Lotus Cashmere, etc. will be presented.
IFFAIR also features the continuous enlargement of its International Pavilion. Apart from the attendance of European and American enterprises, those from Seoul and Daegu of South Korea take a large space for more than 30 ladies’ brands. Hong Kong Zhaoyang Group brings its fur garment of high quality and the ASEAN Apparel Union is coming to IFFAIR to exhibit for the very first time with large space.
An Inrush of Attendees from 46 Countries
Under the background of the time of post-financial crisis, IFFAIR organizing committee sorted out a variety of ways to invite international visitors and to help exhibitors to expand both the domestic and international markets. 6 special promotion conferences have been held in countries of Japan, and South Korea, etc; industrial matchmaking meetings have been held in cities of Chongqing, nanchang, Yinchuan, etc. in Middle and West China; merchant inviting has been carried out in more than 20 countries, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin; those Top 200 department stores have registered to visit IFFAIR after invitation.
Till now, 10,824 professional visitors have confirmed to attend the fair, 612 of who are managers from 126 garment-related department stores, 7,044 of who are national attendees from different trading companies, and 3,168 of who are professional attendees from 46 countries and regions all over the world.
The attendance of buyers from department stores all over China is a highlight this year. Apart from the confirmed presence of international chained supermarkets like Wal-Mart, Tesco, Auchan, Carrefour, we are to welcome another more than 120 department stores like Wangfujing Group, Hualian Group, Hong Kong New World Group, Cuiwei Group, Ocean Department Store, Chinese Business Group from cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Wuhan, Hefei, etc.
Multiple Professional Economic & Trading Activities
This year, IFFAIR is also featured with many professional economic and trading activities up to 11, covering fields of how to expand the market, how to build your own fashion brand, how to get rid of out-dated production capacity, how to perfect regional distribution, how to find new ways for garment sales, how to grasp the latest fashion trend, etc.
Major activities include international industrial matchmaking symposiums, such as ASEAN-NINGBO Apparel Industry Matchmaking Symposium 2009, the 2nd Ningbo Round-Table Talk On International Fashion Industry Cooperation, and SINO-KOREAN Garment Companies’ Matchmaking Meeting, etc., and national meetings for the purpose of further expanding the domestic market like IFFAIR - National Apparel Distributors Congress 2009 & the 22nd China National Apparel Distributors Fortune Forum, etc.
